Prescribing for Dental Problems
The GMC advises that it is inappropriate for GPs to prescribe for dental problems. We have therefore aligned our prescribing policy in line with this. Please see a Dentist for treatment of these issues.
If you are concerned that you have a dental emergency such as associated high fever, severe swelling, facial injuries or heavy bleeding, please attend A&E. If it is not an emergency such as these, please phone 111 for the details of your nearest emergency dentist, or see the link below.
